Outlog Privacy Policy
Outlog helps families track time spent outside. We built it so that your family's data stays with you. This policy explains what the app stores, where, and who can see it.
The short version
- We don't run servers for Outlog and we don't receive your data.
- There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking in the app.
- What you enter is stored on your device and in your own iCloud account.
- Only the people you choose to invite can see a child's logged time.
What the app stores
The children's first names you add, the time you log outside (start and end times), your yearly goal, your reminder time and your app settings.
Where it is stored
On your device, and in your private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit so it syncs between your devices. Sophie Games cannot access your iCloud data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Sharing with family
If you invite someone to log time for a child, that child's name and logged time are shared with the people you invite, through iCloud. You can see who has access and stop sharing at any time from the app's invite screen. People who accept an invitation can see and add time for that child only.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether Pro is active.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled on your device. No notification data is sent to us.
Children
Outlog is used by parents and caregivers. It stores a child's first name and outdoor time only, and that information stays on your devices and in your iCloud account. We do not collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
You can delete any logged time or child in the app. Deleting the app removes the data on that device. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Outlog on your iPhone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
